Sunday, April 14 - Confirmation Rehearsal, 6-7PM in the Church

Sunday, April 21 - NO CLASS – Happy Easter

FRIDAY April 26 - Confirmation Mass

Arrival of Sponsors & Candidates: 5PM in Parish Hall

Mass: 6PM

Dessert Reception & Photos: after mass in Parish Hall

April 27 - San Diego Youth Day (sign up by April 7)

April 28 - Confirmation Class, 6-8pm

May 5 - FAMILY POTLUCK IN PARISH HALL

CONFIRMATION DETAILS & REMINDERS

Your son or daughter needs to be in a state of grace for reception of the Rite of Confirmation.

If they have not been attending Mass regularly and have not been to confession (as one example), they will need to do so before they can receive the sacrament.

Rite of Confirmation – Friday, April 26 at 6PM. Meet in the parish hall with sponsor at 5PM.

Reception – Immediately following the Rite of Confirmation in the parish hall.

The Bishop will be available for pictures at the reception.

Photography

Class photo will be taken at 5:15PM in the Parish Hall.

No photos can be taken during Mass.

The Bishop will be available after mass in the Parish Hall to pose for ONE PICTURE WITH EACH OF THE NEWLY CONFIRMED ALONE OR WITH THEIR SPONSORS. (NO MORE THAN ONE PICTURE ALLOWED)

Appropriate Attire for CANDIDATES & SPONSORS

The bishops are very specific in what is appropriate to wear at the Rite of Confirmation. Please read the following dos or don’ts carefully. If you are not dressed appropriately we will send you home to change. If you are not certain what you have chosen is appropriate, please talk to me about it or bring your clothes in for me to see.

Guys you should wear:
Dress Pants with a belt. Dress shoes with socks. Collared dress shirt with tie, shirt tucked in. Dress Coat (optional).
NO JEANS, NO SHORTS, NO SNEAKERS, NO SAGGING PANTS, NO T-SHIRTS

Ladies you should wear:
Skirt and blouse or, Dress or, Nice Pant suit. Dress shoes (no flip flops).
No short-short skirts
TOPS/DRESSES MUST HAVE SLEEVES - Nothing strapless or spaghetti straps
If you have a sleeveless dress or blouse you must wear a sweater over it
No plunging neck lines – no cleavage
No bare backs
No bare midriffs (please make sure your belly is covered)
NO JEANS, NO SNEAKERS, NO OVERLY TIGHT CLOTHING, NO T-SHIRTS

If in doubt, don’t wear it. We will send you home to change if you are dressed inappropriately.
